Q

Q is for quarantine, and due to COVID-19, our entire 2020 schedule has changed. Themes have been delayed and even removed. While we wait for it to be a wise decision to venture outside of our homes, be social, and create as we prefer, we have decided to try something new.

We have decided to run a themed web feature that will be collectively presented here on our website. While many are now howling at the moon each night to feel less alone and show support at this time, we think that art can also help unite and heal. This themed web feature will remain open for submissions until further notice.

With this first themed web feature, we are looking for your version of a portrait created during the quarantine. We are referring to this strange, unique, and challenging time simply as Q.

Works submitted could be a self-portrait, family portrait, your plants; it could tell a story, be surreal, photography, illustration, poetry, mixed media… We are looking for your vision to express this isolating and strange time.

A global pandemic in and of itself is Gothesque; please don’t be bogged down with semantics when getting creative for this theme. We want this to be healing and to help everyone feel less alone. If needing a little direction, visit our moodboard located on Pinterest to get the ideas rolling.

As submissions are accepted, they will show up below. If you are interested, please use the submission form located at the bottom of this page if you have any questions feel free to contact us. Stay home and stay safe!
